Argentina already has 7 international companies operating

With borders reopened for international tourism since the beginning of October, Argentina is on the way to a full resumption of tourist activity. According to the executive secretary of Inprotur, Ricardo Sosa, Argentine airports already have seven airlines bringing travelers from outside the country. The number of companies that fly internationally departing and arriving at their destination is step number three in the sector’s recovery strategy. The plan mentioned by the executive progressed as the months progressed. In October, borders were opened to bordering countries. The following month, the authorization was valid for the whole world. And now, in December, the idea is to increase the offer. Currently, the following airlines arrive and depart from Argentine airports: Aerolineas Argentinas, Gol, Air Canada, Turkish, Ethiopian Airlines, Latam, Flybondy, and Swiss. “We are concluding a reopening process that seeks to reestablish the tourist flow we had before the start of the pandemic”, stated Sosa. According to the executive, in January, the number of operations will increase again until the market is fully reheated. Until 2019, the average number of international tourists visiting Argentina annually reached 7 million, and Brazil represented 1.5 million of this total. “Brazil was and is a fundamental market for us, which is why we are investing in it”, he said. Currently, five Brazilian destinations have flights departing directly to Argentine cities. They are: Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, Florianopolis, and Porto Alegre. – https://www.panrotas.com.br/mercado/destinos/2021/11/argentina-ja-conta-com-7-companhias-internacionais-operando_185966.html
