Flights to Brazil are featured on Qatar Airways

Qatar Airways highlighted its operations in the Brazilian and Latin American market, amid its global expansion strategy, as the demand for international air travel increases. Among Qatar Airways’ expansion plans in the Latin American market is the addition of a third frequency in Sao Paulo and the restart of flights to Buenos Aires, with a stopover at Guarulhos airport. Both services are scheduled to start on March 31, 2024. In a recent interview with Reuters, Craig Thomas, vice president of sales for the operator in the Americas, highlighted the importance of the Brazilian market. “Our flights from Brazil are already operating with very high occupancy rates, to the point that we have to turn some customers away because the flights are too full”. The carrier currently has two daily flights to Sao Paulo, operated with Boeing 777 aircraft, and will have 18 weekly flights with the addition of four new services in the first quarter of next year. The Doha-based airline reported net income of USD 1.21 MM during the 2022/23 fiscal year and total revenue increased to USD 21 MM, up 45% from the prior period. In the period, 31.7 million passengers were transported, an increase of 71% in the annual comparison. The occupancy rate on the company’s flights was around 80%. – https://aeromagazine.uol.com.br/artigo/voos-para-o-brasil-sao-destaque-na-qatar-airways.html
