Azul transports health professionals free of charge on more than 500 flights

Since March, Azul has already transported several health professionals working on the front line to fight the pandemic on 574 company flights. In an initiative to support aviation in the fight against COVID-19, the company committed to transport these professionals in the seats available on their flights, paying only the boarding fee. According to a projection made, the amount was BRL 135,000 in tickets available if the tickets had been sold. Each section also gave points in TudoAzul, Azul’s advantages program, so that these professionals can fly on vacation after the pandemic has passed to the destinations they want. “Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have tried to do everything possible to help fight the virus, whether it is transporting medical equipment and medicine throughout Brazil, picking up material in other countries with unprecedented operations, carrying out repatriation flights, or even activating our network of internal volunteers. Transporting health professionals has been one of the most unique and fundamental ways we have found to be able to contribute even more in tackling the pandemic,” said Jason Ward, vice president of People and Customers at Azul. – https://contatoradar.com.br/2020/07/azul-transporta-gratuitamente-profissionais-de-saude-em-mais-de-500-voos/
