British Airways starts testing IATA Travel Pass
British Airways is yet another airline that has started testing the new IATA app called Travel Pass. Since 06/01, passengers flying British routes from London (LHR) to Geneva (GVA) and Zurich (ZRH) can already test the app. For Sean Doyle, President and CEO of British Airways, the company is committed to exploring ways to ensure that travel is as safe as possible, so that the resumption will occur in the best possible way. “We know that digital travel passes are a part of the solution and will also play a key role in giving travelers the peace of mind they need before arriving at the airport. We hope to be able to offer a convenient digital option for every British international route that requires negative results for COVID-19”, concluded the executive. The British airline is also currently testing another digital travel app, called VeriFLY, on routes to the United States, France, Ireland, Barbados, Bahamas, and Canada. Once you have your travel documentation certified through the app, you can check-in through the airline’s website or app, having access to your boarding pass before arriving at the airport. If you are traveling with the company to Cyprus, Germany, Greece, Italy, Spain, and Portugal, you can also upload your negative COVID-19 test result and other documentation directly to the British website for verification prior to your departure. –
