Chile ends state of emergency imposed in March 2020

Chile ended the state of emergency decreed in the wake of the pandemic on 10/1, ending the countrywide curfew imposed since March 2020. In the last 24 hours, the country registered 895 cases, the highest number in six weeks. The Executive’s decision was taken on 09/27. A little earlier, the government announced the reopening of the borders to the entry of vaccinated foreigners as of 10/1, after several weeks in which there was a significant decrease in cases. The change can be seen immediately on the main streets of Santiago, the capital of the South American country, where companies have extended their opening hours, which remained restricted throughout the emergency. – https://www.panrotas.com.br/retomada-das-viagens/internacional/2021/10/chile-encerra-estado-de-emergencia-imposto-em-marco-de-2020_184607.html
