Embraer supports initiative to zero carbon emissions

The global air transport industry has adopted a long-term climate goal to zero carbon emissions by 2050, confirming the commitment of the world’s airlines, airports, air traffic management, and aircraft and engine manufacturers to reduce their CO2 emissions, in support of the 1.5°C target set out in the Paris Agreement. The agreement was signed during the annual meeting of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), which is being held in Boston (USA). Embraer’s commitment to supporting net zero carbon emissions by 2050 was recently announced. “Embraer supports this important commitment. We are facing a global challenge, and this industry initiative is essential to establish the necessary focus and successfully achieve the goals of the work ahead”, said the president and CEO of the manufacturer, Francisco Gomes Neto. – https://www.panrotas.com.br/aviacao/empresas/2021/10/embraer-apoia-iniciativa-para-zerar-emissoes-de-carbono_184701.html
