Congonhas Airport tests boarding by facial recognition with crew members

Tests with biometric facial recognition with pilots and flight attendants at Congonhas Airport (CGH), in Sao Paulo, Brazil, began last week. The technology eliminates the need for the presentation of identification documents for crew members when accessing the departure lounge and aircraft. According to Infraero, which manages the site, the objective is to make the airport boarding process more efficient, agile, and safe. It is part of the “Embarque + Seguro 100% Digital” program of the Ministry of Infrastructure (Minfra, in Portuguese). At the time of access control to the Restricted Security Area, a biometric reading device collects the crew member’s facial reading and validates the biometric parameters with the CHT Digital database (crew identification document), confirming the veracity and the validity of the document. – https://aeromagazine.uol.com.br/artigo/congonhas-testa-embarque-por-reconhecimento-facial-com-tripulantes_7382.html
