In harmony with PM #1,089, ANAC extinguishes the process for granting air services

The replacement of Resolution 377 aims to modernize and reduce bureaucracy in Brazilian civil aviation. Brazil’s Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC, in Portuguese) amended two internal regulations to harmonize the regulations on air services with the changes made to the Brazilian Aeronautical Code (CBA, also in Portuguese) by Law 13,842 of 12/29/2021, known as “MP do Voo Simples” (Simple Flight Provisional Measure). Through Resolutions 659 and 660, the Agency updated the rules for the operation of air services by Brazilian companies and changed its internal regulations with a view to regulatory simplification and greater efficiency of the services provided, without giving up operational safety requirements. With the change, exploration for air services becomes less bureaucratic and more accessible to interested companies, as long as they complete the certification process required by the Agency (when applicable); use aircraft in an airworthy situation and compatible with the intended service; prove fiscal, social security, and labor regularity; and ensure the maintenance of the technical and operational conditions defined by ANAC. The adjustments were approved at the Deliberative Meeting of the ANAC Board of Directors held on 02/01. The Agency updated the terms of Resolution 377, of 03/15/2016 on public air services for Brazilian companies, which was replaced by Resolution 659, and the content of Resolution 381, which amends the Agency’s Internal Regulations, revoking the powers of granting public air services that were attributed to ANAC by the CBA, now no longer necessary. – https://www.gov.br/anac/pt-br/noticias/2022/em-harmonia-com-a-mp-1-089-anac-extingue-processo-de-outorga-de-servicos-aereos
