Airbus to invest in the world’s largest clean hydrogen infrastructure fund
Airbus has joined the world’s largest clean hydrogen infrastructure investment fund, managed by Hy24 – a joint venture between Ardian, a world-leading private investment house, and FiveTHydrogen, an investment manager specializing in clean hydrogen investments. Hy24’s investment fund will provide financial capital to support large-scale, reliable green hydrogen infrastructure projects around the world. Airbus’s involvement ensures its commitment to expanding a global hydrogen economy, a prerequisite for the successful entry into service of its zero-emission commercial aircraft by 2035. “Since 2020, Airbus has partnered with several airlines airlines, airports, energy providers, and industry partners to develop a phased approach to global hydrogen availability”, said Karine Guenan, Vice President ZEROe Ecosystem. “Airbus plays an active role in infrastructure investments for the production, storage, and distribution of clean hydrogen around the world.” “We are delighted that Airbus has joined the fund along with other important industrial and financial investors”, said Pierre-Etienne Franc, CEO of Hy24. “Hy24 is well-positioned to identify and accelerate the development of clean hydrogen infrastructure companies to meet the needs of today and ensure the transportation and logistics of tomorrow.” As the aviation industry transitions towards achieving its goal of net zero carbon emissions by 2050, a significant number of requirements need to be met. According to Airbus, investing in these funds offers complementary access to direct partnerships that shape new energy ecosystems. – https://aeroin.net/airbus-deve-investir-no-maior-fundo-de-infraestrutura-de-hidrogenio-limpo-do-mundo/
