At an event, ANAC presents simplification to attract new foreign airlines

On the 1st of March, Brazil’s Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC, in Portuguese) will promote “VOA BRASIL: simplifying access to the market”. With simultaneous translation into English, the event will be broadcast on the Agency’s YouTube channel and will present the simplification of regulations recently approved by ANAC to facilitate the entry of new foreign companies in Brazil. In September 2022, ANAC approved new rules for the exploitation of international air transport services by foreign airlines. Such changes materialized in ANAC Resolution #692/2022 and in the Brazilian Civil Aviation Regulation (RBAC, in Portuguese) #129, reducing the bureaucracy related to the presentation of documentation for the provision of regular and non-regular international air transport. Under the new rules, foreign companies are exempt from prior operating authorization, being able to register directly with the Board of Trade and deal with the operating authorization with ANAC. This exemption reduced the operating authorization period from 270 (two hundred and seventy) to 30 (thirty) days, providing more flexibility for foreign companies to start flying to Brazil. There was also the establishment of simplified criteria for sharing codes between Brazilian and foreign companies. Now, companies that wish to codeshare only need to register this information with ANAC, respecting current international understandings. – https://aeroin.net/em-evento-anac-apresenta-simplificacao-para-atrair-novas-companhias-aereas-estrangeiras/
