Internet searches for international flights to Brazil grow 18.3% this year-end compared to the previous year
The Brazilian Agency for International Tourism Promotion (Embratur) reports that the number of searches for international flights to Brazil grew 18.3% at the end of the year, in the period between November 19 and December 17, 2023, compared to the same period last year. The Agency explains that this percentage refers to internet searches made by people living abroad, and that the numbers are a part of a survey by Embratur based on the Travel Analytic Center, following Google Flights performance metrics. With this, they help monitor the growth in the number of tourists from abroad who will spend New Year’s Eve and the month of January in Brazilian territory. By tourist sending countries, the top three in number of searches for flights to Brazil in the period were Argentina, with growth of 7.76%, the United States, with growth of 15.93%, and Portugal, with an increase of 20. 64%.
