China gains service center focused on the life cycle of aircraft

Airbus has opened its first service center in China focused on the entire aircraft life cycle. The Airbus Lifecycle Services Center (ALSC) in the city of Chengdu will cover the full range of activities, from aircraft parking and storage to maintenance, modernizations, conversions, dismantling, and recycling services for various types of aircraft, as well as controlled distribution of used parts from dismantling. The space, certified by regulatory agencies in Europe and China, is 717,000 m² and has the capacity to store up to 125 aircraft. Operations will be gradually expanded until 2025. “Our service center is a great example of Sino-European cooperation in developing the circular economy for the aviation industry,” said Cristina Aguilar, Senior Vice President of Customer Services at Airbus. – https://aeromagazine.uol.com.br/artigo/china-ganhou-centro-de-servicos-voltado-ao-ciclo-de-vida-de-avioes.html
