Guarulhos Airport Holds Charity Drive for Women Undergoing Cancer Treatment

Next Sunday (27), Sao Paulo International Airport in Guarulhos will host a hair donation drive in partnership with the Amor em Mechas Institute. The drive will take place in Terminal 2, check-in area D, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and is part of the Wear it Pink activities. The initiative aims to encourage hair donations for the creation of the “Love Kit,” produced by the Amor em Mechas Institute for women undergoing chemotherapy. The kit includes a wig, scarf, pearl necklace, hand sanitizer, earrings, a mask, a self-help book, and other items. During the event, participants can bring pre-cut locks of hair or have them cut on-site. All hair types are accepted, including those that have undergone chemical processes, as long as they are at least 15 centimeters long. Hair must be clean, dry, and free of accessories. Minors may only participate if accompanied by a guardian. According to the Institute, between March 2017 and September 2025, approximately eight thousand women have already received the Love Kit. “It is a great pleasure for Sao Paulo International Airport to support such a significant initiative as the locks of hair donation campaign. We know how much hair loss impacts the self-esteem of women undergoing chemotherapy, and being able to help them feel stronger and more supported is something that touches us deeply. Our goal goes beyond mobility: we want to be a point of human connection, promoting acts of solidarity that have a real impact on people’s lives,” said Ana Ernica, administrative director of GRU Airport. In addition to participating in the campaign, donors will receive a makeup session promoted in partnership with Dufry. – https://www.aeroflap.com.br/aeroporto-de-guarulhos-realiza-acao-solidaria-para-mulheres-em-tratamento-contra-o-cancer/
