FedEx launches formal import cargo release service, improving its structure at Viracopos Airport

Federal Express Corporation (FedEx), the largest express transport company in the world, announces the expansion of its portfolio in Brazil with the launch of the formal import cargo clearance service. This new service allows customs clearance to be carried out within the FedEx warehouse, helping to reduce cargo release times. The same service is already offered for express cargo, reinforcing the company as an integrated logistics provider. To operate the new service, FedEx went through a process conducted by the Federal Revenue of Brazil, which certified the compliance of the operation and structure of the branch with the security and control rules applicable to bonded areas.
