Brazilian National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) Joins Panel with Regulatory Agencies to Discuss Sustainability
On May 6, Brazil’s Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) participated in roundtable discussions during the ESG 2026 Forum, held by the National Land Transport Agency (ANTT) in Brasilia, DF. The event analyzed the incorporation of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria into Brazilian regulation. In the panel “Emissions Inventory as a Basis for Decarbonization,” the Agency presented its vision on the challenges and advances in the environmental agenda of civil aviation. During the debate, it highlighted the importance of measuring emissions as a fundamental step for the formulation of effective mitigation policies and for the energy transition of the sector. Initiatives focused on sustainability, transparency, and strengthening institutional governance were also presented by ANAC, in addition to long-term strategies aimed at sustainability in the aviation sector.
