Gol encourages a project that strengthens the presence of black people in aviation

Gol Linhas Aereas received at its headquarters in Congonhas, SP, fellow graduates of the group of Commissioners of the Pretos que Voam (Black People who Fly) project, an initiative coordinated by the collective Quilombo Aereo, from Porto Alegre, which arose with the purpose of making visible, strengthening, and increase the presence of black people in Brazilian civil aviation. The ten visiting students graduated through scholarships offered by the project, which in addition to the Aviation course, also received uniforms, a foreign language course, and payment of exam fees with Brazil’s Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC, in Portuguese). During the visit to Gol’s headquarters, they had the opportunity to learn a little more about the world of aviation. They were able to visit the company’s memory center, operating room, Commissioner training room, and ask questions and learn more from the executives present: Eduardo Bernardes, Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Customers, Loraine Ricino, Marketing and ESG Director , Jean Nogueira, director of People and Culture, and Maria de Nazaré Guimarães, responsible for Instituto Gol. The students were also invited to participate in the next commercial and technical crew selection process, which has not yet been set. – https://www.panrotas.com.br/aviacao/parcerias/2021/11/gol-incentiva-projeto-que-fortalece-presenca-de-pessoas-negras-na-aviacao_185840.html
