New aerial surveillance stations will be installed in more than 20 states

As a result of an international bidding process, the Brazilian Department of Airspace Control (DECEA, in Portuguese), an agency of the Brazilian Air Force, and the French company Thales announced a partnership for the supply and installation of ADS-B sensors, aimed at aerial surveillance, in more than 20 states. The equipment will receive information from the aircraft via transponder informing position, speed, and identification, complementing the service already performed by existing secondary radars and providing a larger and more organized amount of data for air traffic controllers. The sensor works as a double-check, a basic premise in civil aviation security processes. There is no need for pilot or flight operator interference, and data update is ten times faster than caurrent radars. In all, there will be 66 stations, which will be installed gradually. – https://aeromagazine.uol.com.br/artigo/novas-estacoes-de-vigilancia-aerea-serao-instaladas-em-mais-de-20-estados.html
