Chinese aviation is expected to reach 80% of 2019 capacity in June

The expectation is that by the end of June, the domestic aviation indexes in China will approach 80% of what was registered last year in the months that preceded the pandemic in the Asian giant. The projection made by CAPA – Center for Aviation – believes that as China recovers from the COVID-19 crisis, the domestic aviation which is currently the largest in the world, will register a gradual growth until mid-October, when it should reach 90% of the existing demand in the same period of 2019. China was the first country to feel the impacts of the pandemic, but the local industry remained relatively normal throughout the crisis, helping to resume the country’s growth. By December, CAPA expects the Chinese domestic aviation to reach 93% of the existing demand in 2019, making the Asian country the first to almost fully recover its demand.
