United Airlines will maximize the ventilation system during boarding and disembarking

United has announced that it will maximize the volume of airflow for all of its aircraft’s high-efficiency particulate air

(HEPA) filtration systems throughout the boarding and disembarking process, helping to further reduce the spread of COVID-19. United’s pilots and ground workers are working to implement this new procedure for the main aircraft as of July 27. Scott Kirby, United’s CEO, said, “We know that the environment on an aircraft is safe, and as the airflow is designed to minimize disease transmission, the more we maximize the airflow in our HEPA filtration system, the better for our staff and our customers. (…) Air quality, combined with a strict policy of masks and regularly disinfected surfaces are the foundation for preventing the spread of COVID-19 on an airplane. We expect that air travel will probably not return to normal until we find a vaccine – so I will continue to encourage our team to explore and implement new ideas, new technologies, new policies, and new procedures that better protect our customers and employees.” – https://passageirodeprimeira.com/united-airlines-vai-maximizar-o-sistema-de-ventilacao-durante-embarque-e-desembarque/
