Commercial aviation transported 2,477 items for transplant in the first semester free of charge

The Brazilian commercial aviation sector transported 2,477 items for transplants (organs, tissues, supplies, and medical teams) free of charge in the first half of 2020. This data came from the National Transplant Center (CNT), from the Ministry of Health. During this period, 1,429 flights by national companies took at least one item on board. Flights operated by the Brazilian Air Force (FAB), foreign airlines, land routes, and postal service transported 1,185 items. A total of 3,662 items were handled, adding up all transport means in the first half of the year. –
