Average daily flights should reach 980 at the end of September

The offer of domestic flights in the last week of September should reach a daily average of 980 flights, according to a survey by the Brazilian Association of Airlines (ABEAR), based on data from the Brazilian Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC). The number represents just over 40% of what was predicted before the start of the new coronavirus pandemic on March 2, when an average of 2,400 flights were scheduled in the country per day. The latest survey carried out by ABEAR shows that the demand for domestic flights, measured in Revenue Passenger Kilometers transported (RPK), remains at its lowest level in two decades: in July, there was a reduction of 78.9% in the annual comparison. The offer calculated in Available Seat Kilometers offered (ASK) decreased by 76.3%. –
