On 9/11, AeroMexico broke its own previous record from the end of May: the longest flight performed by the company. At the time, the title had gone to the route between Shenzhen, China, and Mexico City, which took 14 hours and 54 minutes. However, it was through its first operation in Hong Kong that AeroMexico made the longest flight. In total, the Boeing 787-9 with XA-ADC registration flew for 15 hours and 25 minutes from the Asian city to Mexico City, traveling just over 50 kilometers more than the Shenzhen route. “I remain convinced that challenges represent new opportunities. Thanks to our customers, the Hong Kong Government and airport authorities, today we mark a new achievement in our 86 years of history. Hong Kong becomes the sixth destination we operate on the Asian continent, and the longest flight we take. I thank the Aeromexico family for continuing to take Mexico’s name to the top ”, declared Andrés Conesa, CEO of Aeromexico Group.
