Air France / KLM prepare to distribute vaccines worldwide

Over the past few months of the pandemic, we have been looking forward to the development of a vaccine that will immunize the world’s population. However, the logistics involved in transporting this product has proved to be a major challenge to be overcome from now on. The large airlines in several countries have already prepared themselves to carry out this transport safely, but due to their specificities, vaccines have an ideal temperature range to carry out this displacement, which must be strictly respected. The Air France / KLM group was the first among airlines to receive CEIV certification, specific for the transport of vaccines. In Amsterdam (AMS), the group has a 1,118 m3 climate-controlled storage facility, in addition to an additional 2,061 m3 cold room being built. In Paris (CDG), the PharmaHub built by the company will support the transport of vaccines. “We have established partnerships with many of the parties in the logistics chain, including dispatchers, transport companies, container suppliers, health-related institutes and authorities, etc. We believe that strong cooperation between partners will be essential to successfully execute this logistical challenge”, said Adriaan den Heijer, executive vice president of Air France-KLM Cargo. – https://contatoradar.com.br/2020/11/air-france-klm-se-preparam-para-distribuir-vacinas-mundialmente/
