Opening borders encourages the travel industry, but requires precautions

With the advance of vaccination around the world, several countries have started to reopen their borders to foreigners, including Brazilians. So far, there are 131 destinations. With these releases, airlines and travel agencies started promotional campaigns predicting the heating of the sector. After so long in isolation, people are prone to schedule new trips. However, it is essential to maintain health protocols in accordance with the guidelines of local health authorities. “Even with the advanced vaccination program, before embarking on a trip, it is necessary to keep all precautions to prevent covid-19, and remember to take additional safety measures, which may be essential in other situations abroad”, warns the coordinator of Travel Insurance at Omint, Ana Carolina Castelo Branco. Within this point, it is important to remember that several countries require tourists to have travel insurance contracted to enter their territories. An example of this is the area of the Schengen Agreement, in Europe, which comprises countries such as Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands. “Considering the current situation, even in places where this is not mandatory, hiring guarantees the necessary tranquility for a safe and unsurprising trip”, she explains. – https://www.panrotas.com.br/mercado/destinos/2021/12/abertura-de-fronteiras-anima-setor-de-viagens-mas-exige-precaucoes_186028.html
