Airbus launches zero emission development center in Spain
Airbus will have a Zero Emissions Development Center (ZEDC) in Spain focusing on non-propulsion energy, systems for fuel cell cooling, and extensive use of fiber optics, as well as carbon fiber tanks to store liquid hydrogen. The so-called Airbus UpNext will initially be responsible for the study and demonstration of non-propulsive hydrogen-based energies, as well as future cryogenic tank operations. The intention is to offer a fast-track development, based on speed and scale. “The establishment of Airbus UpNext in Spain strengthens our Research & Technology footprint in the country and ensures that some of the best experts are involved right from the start to support our zero-emissions ambition”, said Sabine Klauke, Airbus Technical Director. Two other ZEDCs were opened in June this year, one in Bremen, Germany, and another in Nantes, France. – https://aeromagazine.uol.com.br/artigo/airbus-lanca-centro-de-desenvolvimento-de-emissoes-zero-na-espanha_7502.html
