BH International Airport receives certification for the use of 100% clean energy

Throughout 2021, Belo Horizonte International Airport acquired electricity (kWh) from a 100% renewable source, which guaranteed the achievement of CemigREC Certification. The document proves that consumption was carried out through hydroelectric power, which contributed to clean and safe energy. This terminal’s attention to environmental practices is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) related to energy production and the preservation of the environment. “Obtaining this certification demonstrates our commitment to using natural resources consciously, as well as the engagement of teams to develop projects that have an impact on reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The airport works to become the most sustainable airport in the country, and the achievement contributes to strengthening this ambition”, emphasizes the CEO of BH Airport, Kleber Meira. Sustainability is a strategic pillar of the organization, which was also recently awarded by the Sustainable Airports Program, promoted by Brazil’s Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC, in Portuguese). – https://aeroin.net/aeroporto-internacional-de-bh-recebe-certificacao-por-uso-de-energia-100-limpa/
