LATAM expects to recover 97% of its domestic offer of seats in Brazil in April
LATAM expects to recover in Brazil up to 97% of its domestic supply of seats (ASK – Available Seat Kilometers) in April 2022, compared to the same month in 2019 (before the Covid-19 pandemic). In Brazil, the company scheduled for this month an average of 503 domestic flights per day to 49 national destinations (44 before the pandemic). On international routes from Brazil, LATAM expects to recover up to 53% of its seat offer in April, and has already re-established flights to 18 destinations: Asuncion, Barcelona, Bogota, Buenos Aires/Aeroparque, Mexico City, Frankfurt, Lima, Lisbon , London, Madrid, Mendoza, Miami, Milan, Montevideo, New York, Orlando, Paris, and Santiago. This month, the company reactivated direct flights between Rio de Janeiro/Galeao and Lima, with 3 weekly flights. In addition, it plans to operate almost 1,059 domestic and international flights per day to 132 destinations in 20 countries this month. In the cargo division, the company has scheduled 1,360 flights on freighter aircraft, including the delivery of an aircraft converted into a freighter, totaling 13 freighters in the fleet. For this month, we highlight the start of operations on the Lima-Cartagena-Rio de Janeiro/Galeao stretch, and also on the Quito-Bogota route, expanding connectivity options between South American countries. In the Brazilian domestic market, in March 2022 (compared to March 2019), LATAM recorded a passenger demand (RPK – Revenue Passenger-Kilometer) of 99.8% and a seat supply of 100.8%, resulting in a 79.9% occupancy. Altogether, in March 2022 and compared to March 2019, the LATAM Group recorded a passenger demand of 66.5% and a seat supply of 67.9%, resulting in an occupancy rate of 81.1% .
