LATAM reinforces team in Brazil to advance the Sustainability agenda

Silmara Santos is the new Senior Sustainability Coordinator at LATAM Brazil. The movement seeks to advance the agenda announced a year ago by the company, with goals in the pillars of Climate Change, Circular Economy, and Shared Value. With 12 years of experience in the Energy sector, the professional is a postgraduate student in Environment and Sustainability at Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV), and has coordinated socio-environmental projects and ESG (environmental, social, and governance) initiatives. “Happy to support LATAM in its long-term vision of Sustainability. We share the same look at innovation, circular economy, relationship with communities, and income generation”, says Silmara. Since 2021, the LATAM group has been working strategically to eliminate single-use plastics by 2023, be a zero waste to landfill company by 2027, offset 50% of CO2 emissions from domestic flights by 2030, and be a 100% carbon neutral company until 2050. – https://www.aeroflap.com.br/latam-reforca-equipe-no-brasil-para-avancar-em-agenda-de-sustentabilidade/
