Minister of Infrastructure visits airlines to address sector issues

The Minister of Infrastructure, Marcelo Sampaio, and the National Secretary of Civil Aviation, Ronei Glanzmann, visited the headquarters of the Brazilian Association of Airlines (ABEAR, in Portuguese) on 08/22 in Sao Paulo to discuss topics relevant to the sector with airline companies representatives. As priority issues, Sampaio mentioned the expansion in the number of flights at Congonhas airport (SP), the investment in regional air terminals, and the cost of QAV, which is the item of greatest economic inefficiency for airlines. “ABEAR is the home of aviation, and we are grateful for the meeting with the minister to continue the permanent dialogue table we started this year, especially on the topic of QAV, the sector’s central agenda”, celebrates ABEAR’s president, Eduardo Sanovicz. From ABEAR, operations director Ruy Amparo, consultant Raul Souza and institutional relations director Jurema Monteiro also participated in the meeting. Representing the member companies, GOL’s CEO, Celso Ferrer, GOL’s Chief Legal Officer and Government Relations, Renata Fonseca, LATAM’s regulatory affairs manager, Tatiane Viana, and VOEPASS’s operational security director, David Farias, attended. “I appreciate the opportunity to dialogue with the representatives of the sector. By debating these matters, we have the chance to offer even better conditions to Brazilian passengers. I understand the urgency of the demands on the QAV and its impact on the cost of airlines, so I want to continue this dialogue soon, so that we can address the issue specifically”, said Minister of State for Infrastructure, Marcelo Sampaio. – https://aeroin.net/ministro-da-infraestrutura-visita-empresas-aereas-para-tratar-de-temas-do-setor/
