Hong Kong will reopen its borders from January 10

Hong Kong announced the opening of borders from January 10th. According to the government, the resumption will be done progressively and will prioritize business visitors and family members of residents. Currently, due to alignment with China’s strict “Covid zero” policy, individuals hoping to enter the mainland via Hong Kong are only able to do so via the airport or two access controls – Shenzhen Bay or Hong Kong Bridge -Zhuhai-Macao. In addition, strict testing and isolation are required for travelers. With the relaxation of measures by mainland China, Hong Kong has declared that it will also prepare the reopening, in mid-January, of its border. Flexibilization aims to encourage local tourism that was greatly shaken during the pandemic period. The territory was one of the first to be hit by the virus and will be the last to break the isolation. If you intend to visit it in the next few days, be aware of the new rules and fees for accessing some health services. – Hong Kong reabrirá as fronteiras a partir do dia 10 de janeiro – Passageiro de Primeira
