Emirates to abolish paper boarding passes

Starting next Monday (15th), Emirates will require most passengers departing from Dubai to only use digital boarding passes. Those who check in in person will receive the document by email or text message, while those who choose to check in online will be able to upload it on digital platforms from Google, Apple, or the airline itself. The checked baggage receipt will also be emailed. According to Emirates, the initiative will significantly reduce paper waste while offering an efficient and fast digitalized check-in experience for passengers departing DXB and reducing the risk of lost or misplaced boarding passes. Some passengers may still be required to print physical boarding passes when traveling with infants, unaccompanied minors, passengers requiring special assistance, with flights on other airlines and all those with the United States as their final destination. – https://aeromagazine.uol.com.br/artigo/emirates-vai-abolir-cartoes-de-embarque-de-papel.html
