UFG and ICEA start artificial intelligence project applied to air traffic control
On June 22, Officials from the Air Force Institute for Air Space Control (ICEA, in Portuguese) and the Air Force Department for Air Space Control (DECEA, also in Portuguese) visited the Federal University of Goias (UFG) and signed a memorandum of understanding for carrying out a artificial intelligence applied to air traffic control. The partnership established foresees carrying out joint studies and research within the project “Flight intention data processing system to allow the strategic planning of aircraft trajectories in an UAM (Urban Air Mobility) environment with the aid of artificial intelligence algorithms”. Professor at the UFG Institute of Informatics Ronaldo Martins da Costa, responsible for the project at the University, explains that the idea is to use artificial intelligence to contribute to the problem of urban air mobility. – https://aeroin.net/ufg-e-icea-iniciam-projeto-de-inteligencia-artificial-aplicada-ao-controle-de-trafego-aereo/
