Santos Dumont Airport, in Rio de Janeiro, is on display for the 150th anniversary of Alberto Santos Dumont

The Department of Air Space Control (DECEA, in Portuguese) informs that everyone who passes through Santos Dumont Airport, in Rio de Janeiro, will have the opportunity to check out the exhibition “150 years in 150 images”, in celebration of the sesquicentennial of Alberto Santos Dumont, Father of Aviation and Patron of the Brazilian Air Force. The exhibition, held by the Third Regional Air Command (III COMAR), is open to the public until 07/10, in the main hall of the airport, and then will go to the Shopping Village Mall, in Barra da Tijuca, from the 13th to 19th. The content features: – images that portray the life, works, and values ​​of Santos Dumont; – a replica of the Demoiselle aircraft, first flown by the inventor in 1907; – personal items such as the panama hat and the high collar; – miniatures of the KC-390, Gripen, and 14-Bis aircraft; and – a model of the Casa de Santos Dumont, located in the city of Petropolis, RJ. – Aeroporto Santos Dumont, no Rio de Janeiro, está com exposição pelos 150 anos Alberto Santos Dumont (aeroin.net)
