ANAC holds event with experts to discuss combating human trafficking in civil aviation

Brazil’s Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) will promote a webinar to discuss combating human trafficking in civil aviation. Aiming to raise awareness on the subject, the event takes place in reference to the World Day to Combat Human Trafficking, established on July 30th. To participate in the webinar, on July 31, at 10 am, interested parties can register on the ANAC Training Portal. At the end of the meeting, a certificate will be issued to the participants. It will also be possible to follow the lectures through the official ANAC channel on the Agency’s YouTube, but without a certificate. During the broadcast, viewers will be able to interact and send questions to speakers through the Slido communication tool. To foster debate, provide for the exchange of experiences, and inform participants about the topic in the context of civil aviation, the webinar will feature the coordinator of the Freedom in the Air project at ANAC, Priscilla Vieira; the labor prosecutor of the Public Ministry of Labor, Andrea Gondim; the delegate of the Division for the Repression of Trafficking in Persons and Smuggling of Migrants of the Federal Police, Leonardo Guimaraes; and the specialist in Brazilian external relations at the International Air Transport Association (IATA), Marcelo Pedroso.
