LATAM informs that it is the 1st airline in Brazil to reach 5% of People with Disabilities in its workforce

LATAM Brasil informed on October 5th that it has just become the first airline in the country to have a workforce with at least 5% of people with disabilities (PWD). The company explains that the expansion of this representation is a consequence of a series of initiatives implemented by the Human Resources area, which involve targeted selection processes and the development of internal inclusion and culture policies to make managers true allies in promoting Diversity and Inclusion in the company. . In the last 12 months alone, LATAM has seen an increase from 370 to more than 600 People with Disabilities among its employees throughout Brazil, an increase of 68% compared to the previous period. The largest portion of these professionals is dedicated to the Airports area (41.6%), followed by Maintenance (31.4%), Cargo (12.9%), and Customer Service (3.7%). “We seek to care for everyone, promoting a fair, empathetic, transparent, and simple work environment. More than complying with the guidelines established by the legislation of each country, we are in a broad and genuine process to include these professionals.
