Embraer and Germany expand cooperation in the aeronautical sector

Embraer and the German Aerospace Center (DLR) announced an agreement to collaborate on pre-competitive technology research and development activities. According to the Brazilian manufacturer, the objective is to evaluate the possibility of establishing future cooperation on a wide range of initiatives. “This agreement represents another important step in our technological journey towards the future of sustainable aviation in partnership with global research centers”, said Maurilio Albanese Novaes Junior, Director of Research and Technological Development at Embraer. Among the projects that are included are aircraft design, flight systems and physics, system architectures, flight tests, wind tunnel experiments, structures and materials, and safety. The two companies have been cooperating on specific projects for more than two decades, with results in the areas of aircraft icing, aerodynamic modeling, and aeroelasticity. In 2017, collaboration was intensified with a focus on sustainability, such as reducing noise and minimizing the impact of aviation on climate change. – https://aeromagazine.uol.com.br/artigo/embraer-e-alemanha-ampliam-cooperacao-no-setor-aeronautico.html
