Etihad and TAP in codeshare agreement

TAP Air Portugal and Etihad Airways began a codeshare agreement on December 5th, the result of a negotiation between the companies. At the beginning of the year, the Middle Eastern airline began direct flights between Abu Dhabi (AUH) and Lisbon (LIS) on four weekly frequencies, using the Boeing 787-9. From now on, passengers will be able to make connections in the Portuguese capital and London (LHR) with all flights offered by the companies. “This collaboration provides our guests with convenient, centralized access to 26 of TAP’s fantastic leisure and business destinations”, said Arik De, Chief Revenue Officer at Etihad. Etihad Airways already operated direct flights to Brazil between 2013 and 2017, with the Airbus A340-600.
