Brazilian and Canadian Civil Aviation Authorities sign new technical agreement on aeronautical maintenance

Brazil’s Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) and the Canadian Civil Aviation Authority (TCCA – Transport Canada Civil Aviation) signed a new Technical Arrangment on Maintenance (TA-M) that describes the terms and conditions for acceptance and reciprocal recognition of aeronautical product maintenance organizations. Over more than 20 years of cooperation in the maintenance area, ANAC and TCCA have developed mutual trust in their regulatory systems and inspection processes. This reliability allowed them to seek, together, to simplify certification and surveillance processes for workshops, eliminating redundant activities and costs for the industry, without compromising operational safety. With the new TA-M, TCCA will no longer require fees for initial approvals from maintenance organizations based in Brazil. Component maintenance workshops will be accepted reciprocally between ANAC and TCCA, without the need for certification by both authorities and the others will have the approval process handled directly by the local authority. – https://aeroin.net/autoridades-de-aviacao-civil-do-brasil-e-do-canada-firmam-novo-acordo-tecnico-sobre-manutencao-aeronautica/
