Unmanned aircraft will transport cargo offshore
Omni Taxi Aereo announced that it will use unmanned aircraft on offshore missions to transport cargo weighing up to 50 kg. The procedure will be adopted for the first time in Brazil and was the result of two contracts signed with Petrobras. The flights will be conducted beyond line of sight (Bvlos) between facilities and also include collecting data on airspace sharing between UAVs and helicopters. Joao Welsh, CEO of OHI Unmanned, parent company of Omni, said, “With innovation and cutting-edge technology, we can seamlessly integrate unmanned vehicles into critical missions, offering excellent service to customers and contributing to sustainable results.” The first operational flights are scheduled for the second quarter of this year. – https://aeromagazine.uol.com.br/artigo/aeronaves-nao-tripuladas-vao-transportar-cargas-offshore.html
