Brazil joins the Safety Assessment of Foreign Aircraft Program
In the last week of March, Brazil became the first Latin American country to join the Safety Assessment of Foreign Aircraft Program (SAFA). An audit carried out by the European Aviation Safety Agency, EASA, together with Brazil’s Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), guaranteed the approval of Brazil, which becomes the 50th country to be part of SAFA. The audit was carried out from March 18th to 22nd, and compliance with all procedures established by the program was certified. SAFA aims to standardize the carrying out of ramp inspections between foreign operators. In addition to being aligned with best international practices, program participants now share their safety reports. It is this information that feeds and expands the risk management capacity of countries, ensuring greater security for society as a whole. Canada, Australia, the United Arab Emirates, and European countries are participants in the SAFA Program. More than recognition of ANAC’s work, participation in the SAFA Program is a highlight on the international scene and shows that Brazilian aviation is among the safest in the world. – https://aeroin.net/brasil-ingressa-no-programa-de-avaliacao-de-seguranca-de-aeronaves-estrangeiras/?amp
