ANAC approved new drone model for cargo transport

Brazil’s Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) announced on April 19 that it had issued authorization for a new project to transport small loads on flights beyond visual range. The DLV-2 aircraft, produced by the Brazilian company Speedbird Aero, is an evolution of the DLV-1 NEO, approved by the municipality in 2022. It was the first drone used for delivery operations in Brazil. The new model will be able to carry up to 6.5 kg of cargo and operate at a Bvlos distance of up to 24 km. The current regulation (#94E), from April 2023, imposes limits on the flight of equipment outside the pilot’s line of sight. Operations of this type can only take place if the project is authorized by ANAC and the agency’s operational criteria and those for the use of airspace published by the Department of Airspace Control (Decea) are followed. Currently, according to the authority, fifteen models of drones can already carry out operations of this type in Brazil. – https://aeromagazine.uol.com.br/artigo/anac-aprovou-novo-modelo-de-drone-para-transporte-de-cargas.html
