The most important aviation safety and training summit in Latin America and the Caribbean will begin in Lima, Peru

Lima, the capital of Peru, becomes the center of discussion and exchange of experiences aimed at further promoting safety and operational excellence in aviation in Latin America and the Caribbean, receiving more than 270 executives from the sector. From June 18-20, 2024, the ALTA Safety, Flight Operations, and Training Summit will bring together industry leaders and experts for a series of educational panels, presentations, and breakout sessions, with the aim of continuing to raise safety, operations, and crew training standards in the region. The Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA) highlights that the year 2023 has gone down in history as the safest for civil aviation. In Latin America and the Caribbean, there were no fatalities in commercial aviation, and globally, this risk fell significantly from 0.11 in 2022 to 0.03 in 2023, demonstrating a marked improvement compared to the average of the last five years. This data confirms that civil aviation is the safest means of transport, due to the fact that the entire sector prioritizes safety. This commitment manifests itself in the continuous evaluation of operations, the adoption of more efficient technologies, and the comprehensive training of personnel, both on the ground and in the air. It is also a reflection of the exchange of experiences and best practices between operators, who collaborate intensely to keep the skies safe. – https://aeroin.net/a-mais-importante-cupula-de-seguranca-e-treinamento-da-aviacao-da-america-latina-e-caribe-comecara-amanha-em-lima-peru/
