LATAM’s demand in Brazil grows 17.5% in May, driving the Group’s growth
LATAM’s domestic passenger demand (RPK) in Brazil recorded strong growth in May, up 17.5% compared to the same month last year. This result was achieved in the same period in which the company increased its seat supply (ASK) in the Brazilian domestic market by 13%. As a result, the occupancy rate of LATAM Brazil’s domestic flights grew 3.1 percentage points, reaching 82%. These figures reinforce LATAM’s commitment to the sustainable development of aviation in Brazil, driven by the full resumption of operations at Porto Alegre airport (RS) and the inauguration of the new route between Guarulhos airport (SP) and Fernando de Noronha airport (PE). It is worth remembering that flights at Salgado Filho had been suspended in May 2024 due to severe flooding in Rio Grande do Sul. Currently, these operations are fully reestablished, which positively influenced LATAM’s performance in the month. – https://www.aeroflap.com.br/demanda-da-latam-no-brasil-cresce-175-em-maio-e-impulsiona-alta-do-grupo/
