Winners of Sustainable Airports Awards Announced for Brazil’s Best Environmental Practices

Brazil’s Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) announces that it honored airports with the best environmental practices in Brazil amid the challenges of energy transition and climate change on July 8th, at the 6th Sustainable Airports Awards ceremony. A total of 37 initiatives were evaluated by the Agency during the 2023/2024 biennial period considering the four passenger movement categories, each with three independent axes: airport social engagement (Society); management of energy consumption, water resources, and waste (Inputs); and emissions and noise management (Externalities). The initiatives were also evaluated based on certification from the Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) program of the Airports Council International for Latin America and the Caribbean (ACI-LAC). The 19 registered and certified airports automatically met the criteria for international certification. – https://aeroin.net/divulgados-os-vencedores-dos-premios-aeroportos-sustentaveis-pelas-melhores-praticas-ambientais-do-brasil/
