Subway line arrives at Congonhas airport for the first time

The future Congonhas Airport station on Line 17-Gold of the Sao Paulo Subway System received a train for the first time last Sunday morning (11th). The test operation was aimed at validating the station’s systems and infrastructure, which is scheduled to open at the end of March, twelve years after the initial forecast. The test included the first passage of a train through the link that directs the trains to the Congonhas Airport station. Line 17-Gold will have a Y shape, allowing trains from the Morumbi region to head towards the station or the Washington Luis axis.
