Brazil’s Federal Government foresees up to BRL 5.5 billion in credit for airlines in the 2026 budget

According to the Minister of Ports and Airports Silvio Costa Filho, the Brazilian government estimates that it will make up to BRL 5.5 billion of this year’s budget available to airlines through the National Civil Aviation Fund (FNAC). The FNAC is made up of part of the fees collected by the government on air tickets sold by airlines, but to date the amount has never actually been used for the sector. It will now be made available in the form of credit, with possible support from BNDES, aimed at renewing the fleet with the purchase of more planes and also the purchase of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). To date, no airline has announced whether or not it will use the credit available through FNAC. – https://aeroin.net/governo-federal-preve-ate-r-55-bilhoes-de-credito-para-companhias-aereas-no-orcamento-de-2026/
