BASeT discusses its Project/Actions agenda for the 2022/2023 Cycle

On June 8, 2022, the Brazilian Aviation Security Team (BASeT, in Portuguese), a group against acts of unlawful interference, held its eighth Meeting. At this meeting, held via videoconference, the Group discussed its agenda of Projects/Actions for the 2022/2023 Cycle, as well as the priority of other AVSEC Projects/Actions in Brazil. In addition, the Members addressed several aspects related to the planning of the Group’s activities for the aforementioned Cycle. Prior to this 8th Meeting, BASeT Members were encouraged to present suggestions/proposals that could be the object of future Projects/Actions that may contribute to the safety of Brazilian Civil Aviation, in the face of problems/situations identified by them. The meeting was mediated by the current Vice-President of BASeT, Wesley Dias Santos, Coordinator of Airport Security Operations, Representative of BH AIRPORT, and was attended by 44 people, including members that make up the BASeT structure, representatives that make up the organization and functioning of its Thematic Subgroups, representatives of Infraero, airport concessionaires, airlines, the Airspace Control Department (DECEA, also in Portuguese), the National Civil Aviation Secretariat of the Ministry of Infrastructure, associations sector (ABEAR, IATA), as well as Brazil’s Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC, in Portuguese) servers. At the Event, there was also a brief presentation by the respective Coordinators about the specific product to be delivered by their Subgroup. On that occasion, Subgroup 2 was represented by ANAC server Rodrigo Pereira Damásio da Silva, since the respective Coordinator is on vacation. BASeT is an initiative of ANAC that promotes greater interaction between public agencies and private institutions to build a civil aviation security agenda in Brazil.
