Latam projects 25% growth in Brazil

Latam plans to transport 40 million passengers on domestic and international flights in Brazil in 2023, an increase of 25% compared to the 32 million transported last year. The company’s seat supply in the country is close to 2019 levels. With the growing demand for air travel, in addition to adjustments in capacity, the company’s growth will be consolidated through the opening of new regional and international destinations, thus increasing its capillarity. In March, Latam started operations in Passo Fundo, in Rio Grande do Sul, and as of May 9, it will serve thirteen new destinations through the partnership with Voepass. With the commercial agreement for sharing flights, known as codeshare, Latam starts to serve new markets in airports without the necessary structure to serve the aircraft of the company’s current fleet. Including the new bases served by Voepass, the company’s network now has 67 destinations in the country. After leaving the judicial reorganization process in November last year, the Latam group registered a net profit of USD 2.5 MM in the fourth quarter of 2022. The carrier based in Santiago de Chile expects to end the year with 323 aircraft, of which 20 of them will be dedicated to cargo transportation. – https://aeromagazine.uol.com.br/artigo/latam-projeta-crescimento-de-25-no-brasil.html
