ANAC holds VIII Information Quality Week on civil aviation data

Brazil’s Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) held the VIII Information Quality Week on the 3rd and 4th of October. The event had around 80 registrants, in both in-person and virtual formats, and aimed to exchange knowledge and perspectives on sending data to the Agency, in addition to bringing regulated parties closer to the servers responsible for processing this information internally. During the seminar, topics of direct interest to airlines were discussed, with emphasis on the changes that have been made in recent years and those that are currently underway. Among these topics, the evolution of the system for receiving statistical data required by Resolution 191, of June 16, 2011, with the presentation of the new demand and supply panel, and the new standards for sending data on marketed tariffs and data accounting by airlines, also with the presentation of new fare panels and accounting data. Issues that permeate the sector were also presented, such as the new approach to responsive regulation by ANAC, the evidence-based inspection of consumer relations, and Sirus’ compliance mechanisms. The Brazilian Association of Airlines (ABEAR) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA) participated in the event with presentations on the relevance of ANAC’s economic data for the industry, regarding the Agency’s interaction with external actors, such as the Legislative, Executive, Judiciary, Public Prosecutor’s Office, consumer protection bodies, media, and society in general, and the importance of obtaining quality data that can support new regulations, public policies, and various decisions that increasingly contribute to the growth of the sector, favoring the Brazilian society in general. – https://aeroin.net/anac-realiza-viii-semana-da-qualidade-da-informacao-sobre-dados-da-aviacao-civil/
