Azul registers domestic occupation of 79% in April

Azul has just announced preliminary traffic results for the month of April, 2021. Compared to 2019, domestic passenger traffic (RPKs) recovered 76%, while domestic capacity (ASKs) resumed 80%, resulting in a rate of 79% occupancy. At the international level, still with travel restrictions in place due to the covid-19 pandemic, passenger traffic (RPKs) improved, registering an increase of 105.5% compared to April, 2020. Capacity increased by 126.8 % compared to the same month last year. “In April, we continued to actively manage capacity according to demand, which was impacted by the second wave of the pandemic and the quarantine measures implemented throughout the country. Despite these challenges, our network, combined with the flexibility of our fleet, allowed a recovery of 80% of our domestic capacity, which is one of the highest recovery rates in the world. Recent trends are positive and capacity recovery will accelerate in the coming months”, says the airline’s CEO, John Rodgerson. – https://www.panrotas.com.br/aviacao/empresas/2021/05/azul-registra-ocupacao-domestica-de-79-no-mes-de-abril_181443.html
